Quorn is a mushroom based product that is so yummy and versatile. so many different items to choose from. since ive been back in sydney i have had trouble finding more than 4 or 5 items at my local supermarkets to use i fear i will have to start from scratch again and make everything myself which is hard cause im lazy.

i have written to quorn in the uk and unfortunately they have no plans as yet to introduce their products to australia due to lack of interest by the supermarkets. you would think that as australia is becoming more and more multicultural with more vegetarian people arriving...oh well...vegies are a minority here unlike uk where the percentage of vegies is much higher.

just a shame i cant import it myself...

I miss Quorn tooooooo!!! I wrote to them as well and they told me the same thing, so I wrote to Santitarium and someone from there called me to explain why they can't sell Quorn here, something about trademarks and blah blah, but they have a product manager or something who used to work for Quorn which is cool, so they are doing their best to bring in similar type products. Have you seen the new Roast Loaf? I haven't tried it yet, got two in the fridge - from what I've heard its nice.

I miss the vegetarian range available in the UK *pout* people here just don't know what they are missing out on!!!!! :)

Re: Stir fries and Bolognese are no longer the domain of meat eaters.

Oh, try the vege hot dogs wrapped in puff pastry and bake in the oven, serve with tomato or bbq sauce, great snack.
