    Re: Vegan

    I agree.

Is Sanitarium aware that they are losing customers because they keep adding milk/egg products to the Vegie Delights range?

I'm sad that I can't eat Not Burgers anymore!!!

mmmmmm vege roast with roast veges. Putting the onion under it while it's cooking is an awesome idea! The onion is so yummy to eat then too!

    Re: Vegan

What upsets me about some of their products like the new vegie roast it that is contains disodium ribonucleaotide a flavour enhancer made with animal products. Not sure why they insist on using flavour enhancers anyway :(

    Re: Vegan

What? Really? Well it's not suitable for vegetarians or vegans then. Is it stipulated on the pack that it's suitable for either? Coz if it is that's false advertising.... In any case I won't be buying it.

    Re: Vegan

I have the same issue. Just got onto this site to check doulbe check on the latest product listing and as a vegan (or try to be), I am extremely disappointed with this information.  I have lots of vegan friends who all buy many of these products weekly but we will be no longer.  The fact that 3 of my local Coles and Woolies stores have removed the vege section will help our cause to stay as vegan as possible.  I hope someone from Sanitarium is reading this and taking some action.  If not from a vegan perspective, at least they should consider how many people have to avoid their products due to possible allergen, gluten, chem-free issues, etc.

    Re: Vegan

Sorry if I have caused some concern, I have a little food additive book and it states that Disodium Ribonucleotide may be animal derived.

Check this link for more info

    http://www.foodfigures.com/food_additive/E635_Disodium-5_ribonucleotide_262.htm

however I'd do your own research prior, personally anything that contains anything chemical sounding has me concerned.

Perhaps Sanitarium would like to clarify.

    Re: Vegan

Ok i have done some more research and it maybe that not all disodium ribonucleotide enchancers contain animal products as I'm probably sure Vegie Delights would contain one of those varients that don't, however after reading how its made it puts me off :)

I'm sorry for my inital posting as its caused some concern and i'll do better research before I post.

    Re: Vegan

That is truly ridiculous stating that all the vegie delights products should be vegan.  Not everyone is vegan you know?  Dont you think a good mix of both vegan and lacto-ovo - would be better?  That's just being selfish, we are all different, with different tastes and needs.  :)

    Re: Vegan

yes that is selfish and i demand vegan treats for all my vegan buddies.

it would benefit vegans and the company if they made all their products vegan. the company is losing allot of $$ for not having their products vegan.

its harder to find vegan products and its about time that the vegans had a go

anyway im sure the taste wouldn't differ if it was made vegan anyway.
